Locality:Ireland, VCH8 Co. Limerick, Mungret, Deegerty bog, about 7 miles from Mungret on the Mungret-Acheaton road. Small swamp, 300 x 50 yards, on both sides of the road, 100 yards from Morluand cross roads. On soft limestone, like the Burren.

notes:Leaves pale green; flowering stem pale yellow-green; bracts, ovary similar; sepals pale translucent green, deep green mid-vein; petals chocolate maroon; labellum similar, blue stripe across isthmus; column pale green, anther pink.
