notes:'D(r?) B(ina?)field'. Probably 'Dr Bromfield' was intended here. 1849 is the last year for which there are vc10 records known from W.A.Bromfield, he left the IoW in 1850. The only other interpretation would be as a placename, but then the 'D(?)' is cryptic and there is no similar placename listed in the Flora Vectensis (1856) topographical index.
