Mentha x verticillata var. paludosa herbarium specimen from Worcestershire, Shrawley Wood, VC37 Worcestershire in 1952 by Clifford Charles Townsend.
fruits/flowers:mature flowers
notes:Have seen nothing quite like this before! [written by CCT]
[Det. slip commenting on original id as Mentha arvensis:] No. I make this M. x verticulata L. They are, in fact, excellent examples of the var. paluosa (Sole) Dr., and if you turn up the illustration in Sole's Menthae Britannicae you will see how near to Soles plant your specimens are.
