notes:This specimen caused quite a ripple among my botanising friends, I found it at the edge of a small pool on Dalry wasteland (the area where C. spicata grows abundantly). What it is I can only speculate and if it is, in fact, a sedge the only sp. I can figure it may be acc: to C.T.W.s description is C. vulpinoidea! Would you be good enough to send this one back to me for a while & if you would like it for the herbarium I'll send it on at a later date.
This sedge has recently been seen by Allan Stirling in Dumbartonshire.
