Biography
Born 27th July 1840 5th child of Emma Gilliat and John Jones, whose 7th child was John Algernon Jones.
Baptised 27th September 1840 at Llandrillo yn Edeyrnion, Denbighshire.
22 June 1865 received MA from the University of Oxford.
1880, living at Gatwick House, Charlwood, Surrey.
Died at Bepton on 8th April 1895 and was described as 'esquire'.
His name is associated with Dulwich College. Although his name appears on specimen sheets it may not have been written by him, but by the Dulwich College 'curator'.
He was important enough to have the proving of his will announced in the London Gazette.
