notes:	Dr. Andrew David Quentin Agnew was born on 31 December 1929.1 He is the son of Colonel David Quentin Hope Agnew and Janet May Dilkes Malden.1 He married Shirley Smithson, daughter of James Arnold Smithson, on 3 August 1957.1 Dr. Andrew David Quentin Agnew was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland.1 He graduated from Edinburgh University in 1954 with the degree of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.).1 He graduated from University of Wales, Bangor in 1957 with the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).1 He lived in 2003 at Garth House, Furnace, Machynlleth, Montgomeryshire, Wales.
