notes: | This specimen is one of the first collected in Britain, gathered by Dr Druce following its discovery on 25.7.1923 by Lady Davy and Miss Gertrude Bacon. Dr Druce noted that it grew on gently sloping shallow micaceous bogs, with no running water and sparse vegetation; associated plants were 'Carex dioica, C. atrofusca, [C. viridula], [C. nigra], Juncus triglumis and rarely Kobresia'. He also noted that C. pauciflora (confusable with C. microglochin) was plentiful at 1500ft. |
