notes:This specimen is one of the first collected in Britain, gathered
by Dr Druce following its discovery on 25.7.1923 by Lady Davy
and Miss Gertrude Bacon. Dr Druce noted that it grew on gently
sloping shallow micaceous bogs, with no running water and sparse
vegetation; associated plants were 'Carex dioica, C. atrofusca,
[C. viridula], [C. nigra], Juncus triglumis and rarely
Kobresia'. He also noted that C. pauciflora (confusable with C.
microglochin) was plentiful at 1500ft.
