| notes: | V. contempta Jord. ? var patula Drabble [923] Hitchen Herts' J.E.Little. The only peculiar thing about this is the main stem has been laid down by something, and has given off branches at several of the nodes. I have a similar stati [?] of V. agrestis, but that was done mowing [cutting] of the sward[?]- J.Fraser . Yes. see J[ournal] Bot[any] 1928 p 74 this was named as a variety because Jordan’s description of contemple[?] [Pugillus Plants p 24] does not come spreading and prostrate. This variety shows where typical many branches widely spreading from the base more or less prostrate E.Drabble [923] V.contempta contempta. patulla. |
