| notes: | 2 specimens but there appear to have been 3 originally as a note reads "This plant is pretty frequent on moist peaty Heathers. No 1 The sterile Frond of the present specimen was gathered on Shirley Common near Croydon. No 2 the two fertile Frondes were brought from near Tring Herts 1824. it is found on Hampstead Heath Putney -- -- plentifully." The number 1 appears on the left hand side of the sheet with a possible trace of a specimen above it while the number 2 appears between the 2 remaining specimens with dotted lines going to them both. |
