notes: | "There is a specimen (sub nom. Erucastrum inodorum Reich., var. Pollichii Schimp. & Spenn.) in the Cambridhger University Herbarium from the same locality, collected in Aug., 1885. Mr Druce showed me the plant last year growing on rubbish heaps by the side of the "heath". The plant is of course not indigenous. C.E.M. Yes. Evidently an alien which our climate suits, as it appears to be spreading in England. Specimens collected by Mr I. H. Burkhill from the same locality were distributed through the Club in 1897, and it is interesting to know that it still exists there. - C.E.S." ('C.E.M.' Charles Edward Moss and 'C.E.S.' Mr Charles Edgar Salmon). Buds and mature flowers at top of racemes. |
