Stem shortly hairy glacescent, leaves padate, leaflets coarslely and unequally serrate, terminal subcordate generally ovate gradually acuminate, upper panicle leaves a little gray felted. Flowers white rather small. Petals ellipttic rhomboid. Stamenswhite a little longer than the red styles. Carpels glabrous. Sepals pale green loosely clasping the fruit

notes:Only one specimen, yet in addition to Avery's 1934 note, a second label, unsigned dated 24/07/1939 referring to same species and collection site:"Flowers white, usually small. Petals oval somewhat narrowed to each end, and often with a greenish base. The stamens are slightly longer than the styles and conceal them after the petals drop. The styles are a deep red even before the flowers unclose. Sepals loosely clasping." In a different script: "Carpels glabrous."
