Herbarium specimen: Mentha spicata x suaveolens = M. x villosa

Taxon:Lamiaceae: Mentha spicata x suaveolens = M. x villosa Huds. ("Apple-mint")
det. Raymond Mervyn Harley 9/11/1981

The plant is still immature. Its male sterility could be due to hybridity or gynodioecism. Leaf morphology suggests it is a cultivated form of the hybrid (it used to be called M. x cordifolia Opiz)
