Curnow to Mrs. Lomax Pembroke Cottage Newlyn Cliff Penzance March 24 1880 Mrs Lomax Dear Madam, Very glad I have so far recovered as to be able to look up the Euphrasias for you. I am only able to send You four samples of E. montana as somehow when I sent it to the Exchange Club. I put it by too secure somewhere and have taken the the Enclosed Form my mounting case, which I can easily replace when I fall in with my duplicates as well as send you an additional supply of it. You will find specimen from other location than those named by Prof. Babyngton. If I have any remarks to make on them I can do so as a future time, but i think they are correctly named. I have in my possession two other species, but not duplicates, one from Stroud called E. ericetorum + another from near London called E. sylvestris. We are desirous - Mr Ralf and myself - that you should during the Summer look up any species that fall in your way and send them to (cont. in curnow.doc) |
