notes: | Answers to umbrosa Dunn [Bab] for leaves, bracts etc. and in cymes few flowered [1-8] but not in cymes being few. Br[itish] H[erbarium] say none of these characters are constant, [and] make one species of aquatica. This seems exactly like the shalbourn Berks specimen [Coll C.P. Hunt] and answers equally well to Babingtons description for umbrosa, Dunn, Babington states however that this is not alata Gilib, as Lon[don] Catalogue says. |
