notes: | The salt spring, a declassified SSSI, is at SP446605. "one of only two saline springs in Warwickshire which originate from salt deposits within the Triassic Mercia Mudstone Group at depth." (Warwickshire Geological Conservation Group 8/7/11.) The spring is not marked on the 1:50000 or 1:25000 map, but is indeed there, on the NE side of the woodland plantation. |
