notes:Pupil at Grocers' Company School in Hackney and member of the school science society, the Clapton Naturalists' Field Club. In 1892 the club was renamed the North London Natural History Society. In 1913 this merged with the City of London Entomological and Natural History Society to become the London Natural History Society, of which Robbins was an active member until his death.
Latterly lived at Bullens Lee, Pains Hill, Limpsfield, Surrey.
