Sheet 404214 filed as Carex binervis has a written comment "On wet turfy ground among rocky ledges above Loch Chandar (Caenn-mór) Aberdeenshire. On the left side (East) of the Loch at 2,550 feet above the sea level. In considerable quantity in one spot about 3 yards in length and 1½ feet broad. (altitude 2550ft). Friday 7th August 1874. J Sadler - Carex frigida - Allion". The specimen is marked "New to Britain". This discovery is recorded in Journal of Botany, 1875, 13, p29.
