Biography
Eleanor Vachell FLS (1879-1948) botanist. As a child with her father Charles Tanfield Vachell and as an adult in her motor car with her friends from the Wild Flower Society ("the Trudgeleers") she travelled throughout the British Isles compiling the comprehensive herbarium she bequeathed to the National Museum of Wales.
