Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names. Log-in to edit this sheet.

From the edit history it looks as if the system does it automatically.
There's quite a lot on the web about Groom, a richly comic if dangerous character who wrote a couple of respectable books on natural history and whose evidence to a Commons select committee was a precursor of UK legislation protecting wild birds. He also invented Ginger Champagne for alcoholics. |
