I have this locality on a sheet collected in Aug. 1877 by Rev. Samual Titmas:

Castle Brenan, Merionethshire.

Any ideas where this is? Sheet will eventually be loaded to this site.

The only castle I can see in Merioneth starting with 'B' is Castell-y-Bere at OS SH665084, near Caerberllan and Llanfihangel-y-pennant. How well written is the label?
