All other records from Palmer for East Cornwall and North Devon, which the River Tamar at Launceston divides, are from 1836 so this specimen is highly likely to be from the same year, despite no year on the sheet. Palmer collected Myriophyllum alterniflorum from Horsebridge just downstream from New Bridge in June 1836.
