Walter as per label, or William as per h@h menu and many edited sheets? Though I haven't searched exhaustively, the latter seem to be marked just 'W Barratt' rather than William. There are just a couple of 'Walters' also eg http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/316136/

Thanks for that clever information! Just leaves the question, who if anyone was William Barratt? Also your cutting referred to 'Bury St Edmunds... oldest botanical work' - have you got more info re these 2 (or 1) bits of info?

I looked for botanists based in the SW - in a particular time frame and found Walter Barrett, with specimens from Mullion - so that seemed to fit the bill.
