N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I couldn't find 'Gaitheugh' - Brotherston collected from the borders, including Berwickshire, around this time

According to The Monthly Repository of Theology and General Literature page 815, Gaitheugh was 'distant about two miles [from Earlstoun now Earlston] - a steep ravine opposite Old Melrose.'

The Botanical Tour of Berwickshire [pdf] lists grid refs in 100km square NT as follows:
Gaitheugh (Gateheugh) – Leaderfoot 5734, Gledswood 5834,
Gaitheugh (Gateheugh) 5933, 5934, Bemersyde, below 5833.

ps - in deed if you zoom right in to Streetmap at NT591339 there is a section of the River Tweed called Gateheugh Stream HERE!
