N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

In spmn no. 2 "Colchester" is a guess for Baker's abbreviation.

There seem to be over 30 other sheets from the 1840s where Baker's 'Colch-...' has been read as Colchester, North Essex, and one where it has been interpreted as Colstry, Shropshire VC40!

I acted hastily. Baker was an Essex man and would have been 19 years old in 1843. It's quite likely that he himself collected this and others at Colchester, Essex.
