N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Orobanche caryophyllacea is a plant of maritime S E Kent. This is surely O. rapum-genistae (as the label says) or O. minor. "Duby", "Dunby" look like transcription errors for Dowles and Dowles Brook, near Bewdley, where Duncan was botanising in June 1901.

The only other specimens for JB Duncan 6/1901 are from south of Bewdley: Holt Fleet, Ribbesford, and Blackstone; where there is also the village of Dunley (OS SO7869) with the Burnthorne and Dick Brooks. Dowles Brook is north of Bewdley.

I recently identified about a dozen specimens attributed to "JBD" as being Duncan's and edited them. He seems to have botanised around Wyre Forest a number of times: I don't suppose H@H displays an exhaustive catalogue of his localities. Isaac Helsby often misspells place-names. I just thought Dowles was a likely possibility.
