N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

'Wantage Road Railway Stataion' Not sure which town - no railway now runs near Wantage; no other Chandler specimens found from this time

Wikipedia says "Wantage Road railway station was on the Great Western Main Line in the Vale of White Horse. The station was actually at the village of Grove, Oxfordshire, more than two miles north of Wantage".

Fantastic to have such accuracy. Occasionally one can trace a route to a holiday destination from series of sheets. It seems botanists quite often stopped off at isolated stations for a look round, given the numbers of such specimens, or was it that they had time to kill during long waits, as H S Thompson's trespassings on the line seem to suggest? I've got some old Idler magazines, which base various stories on encounters with strange characters at stations. Also a series of visits to private museums of eccentric naturalists.
