N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Collector; locality? I thought this sp. was to be found only at Bath.

Is the collector 'E M B' so perhaps E M Benson who has another sheet (357141) where Beeby writes just initials. There is a Sandgate (OS TR1935), in East Kent near Folkestone, which has steep chalk hills to the west where there could have been a quarry.

There's been another mistake with run-on folders, so this was probably meant to have been filed as E. amygdaloides.

The problem is that images of specimens are sent as a stream of images (a folder at a time) divided by an image of the folder cover, to divide up the sets. If, as in this case, a folder image has been missed then the next folder carries on under the same name.

I'll relabel the sets tonight - until then if you get allocated a E. vilosa/pilosa sheet to document then please check that it's not actually amygdaloides.

I was in a rush when I posted this and shirked the effort I should have made.

It certainly shows affinities with the other E M Benson sheets on HeHo and I have found references to a quarry at Sandgate, Kent.
