Helsby writes Synmouth and River Syn, but as Bickham collected in N Devon at the beginning of the 20th century my guess is that this is a misreading of Lynmouth and River Lyn.

Yes, that would be characteristic of Bickham's handwriting, Ledbury (his abode) has repeatedly been read as Sedbury. Helsby's labels are regularly prone to such errors
