N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I had understood this was around the date of this plant's discovery in Britain; but Stace 2 gives 1934. 'Diapensia was one of a trio of Arctic plants discovered in Scotland in the early 1950s. 'Although no new species to Britain had been discovered in Scotland since Victorian times, in 1950, the Arctic plant Koenigia islandica had been found on the Isle of Skye, and in 1952, Artemisia norvegica was found on Cùl Mòr' - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diapensia_lapponica

The species was first collected in Britain from Skye in 1934 but not correctly identified until 1950. The Storr is a long way from NG52. The description of the site best fits that part of The Storr that is in NG44 - where this species is still frequent. Thanks for the data. Stephen (VC recorder for 104)
