N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Can anyone decipher the words and number on the small label below "Aristolochia clematis"?

It looks as if Tom has beaten us to it, entering the date. I read it as June 1846 Chelsea. This may suggest that the specimen is from Chelsea (eg the Physic Garden) and Dr Wilks from Salisbury - or possibly that the plant originated from one place and was cultivated at the other! I searched Wilkes and Ralfs specimens but found none that gave any clue. Best to put something in the notes field such as 'also marked Chelsea'.
