Any suggestions for 'JW' ? Distinctive script. He seems to have been associated with George Lloyd and to have collected from the West Country

In 1825 George Lloyd would have been studying medicine in Edinburgh.
In The Edinburgh Medical and Surgical Journal of that year he is among 140 graduates, several with the initials JW. Perhaps one of those?
