N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

The grid refs given seem faulty - SP93288 and SP93285 - no other site info. SP9388 is near Corby, Northants

SP9328 is near Leighton Buzzard. The Collector is a Medical Herbalist and the School of Health is a department of the University of East London.

University of East London has very helpfully posted the PhD thesis submitted by Dr Watkins on line. There is a map on page 39 beneath which the grid reference for the Plantago media collection is given as SP9328914640, which is within the College Lake Nature Reserve, Bucks.

Ah - I see now the reference to 'Flora of Herts' on the label; the site you suggest is at Marsworth near Leighton Buzzard, a lake / reservoir near the Grand Union Canal. It seems impossible to know whether the grid ref intended is SP9328 or SP9314, but both are near to each other! I notice Watkins' other specimen in h@h currently is from grid ref SP493531 at Boddington Reservoir between Banbury & Daventry which I see you similarly deduced on http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/379678/ (far distant from Corby, one place I deduced from Watkins' strange grid ref.) But if that grid ref is taken as above to be SP4935, it is on the Oxford Canal between Aynho & Banbury! Let's hope more Watkins specimens crop up to clinch either or both of these.
