A E Lomax died 1894 (and E A Lomax died 1895), he collected one other Norfolk specimen, in 1881; and Last had some of his specimens. Evidently this label is wrongly dated, or h@h has his dates wrong

Alban Lomax was a pharmaceutical chemist. He died (aged 33) in the Northern Hospital (from 'cerebral inflammation'), Liverpool - 4th may, 1894.

He described a new species of Cerastium, J of Botany, Vol 31, 1893.

He was a member of the Watson Exchange Club and contributed to Science Gossip.

Father was Ebenezer W Lomax - second master of Ely Grammar School.
