Painter specimens come from all over the UK - many received from other collectors. He moved around a fair bit - see
http://herbariaunited.org/wiki/William_Hunt_Painter
and whilst he was in London in the 1860's, he moved out to various places in the succeeding years.

Horton - I have taken this to be Staffordshire, east of Biddulph; many Painter specimens at this time are from that area
