N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I couldn't read this site name. I wondered if the labelling bears compaqrison with C C Babington's? He has a sheet same month from Berwickshire, http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/232630/?image

Certainly, according to his memoirs, Babington was either progressing towards, or in, Scotland, during August 1834, but I can see no record of Alscott.

Not Babington's handwriting.

Alscot (sic) is on the Stour between Preston and Atherstone. A contemporary collector at Atherstone was A Bloxam.
