N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

The Doward spmn is missing. Waterdown Forest is now called Hargate Forest. I cannot decide whether "5 & 6/47.2" refers to the dates of collection of two spmns. Does "Carex montana? Brean Down" refer to the spmn on the far left?

Mitten has another specimen of Carex montana (230285) from Waterdown Forest, dated 1847, which comes via the William Lowndes Notcutt and Charles Bailey herbaria, and Manchester Museum. My guess is that the 47 is the date, and the others specimen numbers of some sort.
