N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Transactions of the Botanical Society (Edinburgh) reports an excursion of the Scotish Alpine Club to Braemar in August 1889:

Entering the pine woods behind Mr M'Hardy 's house [at Braemar], we made northwards till we reached a pony track, which led us due west behind Cairn-na-Drochel, through Glen Candlich, to Sluggan Lodge, a hill cottage with offices, which may be five miles from Braemar and half-way to Bhein-a-Bhuird.

Cairn-a-Drochel is a mountain already encountered by others in a previous post, and identified as Carn na Drochaide. Sluggan Lodge is now a ruin but appears on old maps. So Glen Candlich would seem to be the upper reaches of what is mapped as Gleann an t-Slugain around OS NJ1100.
