N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Taxon: Cichorium endivia; filing note & sheet label: Cichorium divaricatum; image note: Please check the default taxon name given ('Cichorium endivia') - is this a database problem? Should it be 'Cichorium endivia L. subsp. divaricatum (Schousb.) P. D. Sell'?

Could someone have a look at the determination of this please.

Cichorium divaricatum Willd. doesn't appear to exist and I think is probably a mistake for Cichorium divaricatum Schousb.

C. divaricatum Schousb. is either a synonym of C. endiva subsp. divaricatum (Schousb.) P.D.Sell (or Cichorium pumilum Jacq.) but is S. European - the British alien is usually subsp. endiva according to Sell & Murrell.

From the S&M description this specimen does look to me as though it could be subsp. divaricatum - could someone expert check this?
