Rev. Joseph Jacob? On h@h his dates are given as 1859 - 1926 and he has no other specimens currently. However several of the numerous confusing 'J Jacob' sheets appear to be his eg http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/356610/

Rev Joseph Jacob collected plants while a pupil at Uppingham and became Vicar of Whitewell, Flints., where he died. [Desmond]

Simpson's Index has "(Dover) A list of flowering plants exhibited in the museum during 1932*; J. Jacob (1933). Supplementary list, J. Jacob 1933* (with errata for the 1932 list)"; who is likely to be John Jacob (died 1941) and the collector of the Vc 15 plants.

If the this sheet has been labelled with the wrong name or date, that's a shame as it puts us no nearer distinguishing between the specimens of the various Jacobs. (Helpfully, one of them is a century earlier! 'Rev. John Jacob, LL.D., Master of Devonport Grammar School; Minister of St. Aubyn Chapel, Devonport; author of Flora of west Devon and Cornwall 1835-7') Does the biographical info have any more helpful detail? This label's clearly marked 'Rev J Jacob' but the date's a year later than his supposed death.

Rev Joseph Jacob was known in his adult life as a horticulturalist (bulbs): see https://www.flickr.com/photos/52219527@N00/7623979810/. The attribution to him of this (Galeopsis) specimen seems to be a curatorial error.

The field "J Jacob" seems readily sorted between Rev John of Devoport and Mr John of Dover by date and VC with no plants from Rev Joseph (which are at UPP).
