whenever i try to enter BIRMINGHAM NATURAL HISTORY AND PHILOSPHOCICAL SOCIETY as an ex-herb i never get it showing up in the drop down lists WHY?

it doesn't appear for BIRM Nothing
or Society several sugggestions but none for Birmingham

is it too long for display?
shouldn't i be recording it?

Thanks for noting this - I've added it to the drop down list now.

The way the system works with regard to items on drop down lists for localities and collectors is that only checked (by me or a couple of other admin users) names appear on the lists.

Originally, any name typed in by a user appeared straight away - but this was found to cause problems - too many strange mis-spellings or duplicate variants of names got added - which rapidly became confusing.

The current system means that any name typed in or picked from the list is recorded for that specimen, but typed in names are not automatically added to the dropdown lists.
