notes:Leaves naked on both sides "setae" perhaps wanting but acicular prickles supply their place in some specimens from the true R. hib[ernic]a.

And what of the 17 'W E Forster' sheets, mostly from Essex & East Anglia? The only one of the that's photographed is: http://herbariaunited.org/specimen/206157/ which looks rather like 'Mr E Forster' to me. See also http://herbariaunited.org/core/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11739 from Essex.
