Borrer died 1862. Druce was born 1850. Druce has a similar sheet from 1882. P H Smith in BSBI News no 125 Jan 2014 believes that photo of that sheet shows S purpurea. The various h@h sheets from Borrer's garden / salicetum do not state those plants' origin.
