N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I read this as 'ditch on Harefield Moor meadows' (OS TQ0488; VC21), and 'bet. S...banks & Broadway Bridge' which I cannot locate (unless Broadway = Broadwater). It also says 'walked to Garret Wood & Rickmansworth 11 June 1900 hottest day, for the date for 60 years, 5 children died of sunstroke at Aldershot'! Garret Wood is at OS TQ048931. Perhaps a walk along the Grand Union Canal.

The modern OS map gives a false impression of the extent of Harefield Moor, now much depleted by gravel extraction. Looking at the OS 1st series and in cucaera shows it extended from the VC21 part of TQ0488, north into TQ0489, and eastward to the other side of the canal in TQ0588, an area in excess of 1kmĀ².
