N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Hi Ken,

there's another specimen collected by Preston on the same date from Cropston, Leicestershire.

It's often possibly to track down partially illegible place names that way. In case you've not already aware, a short-cut to the search results is to click on the placename field, which will then show a 'locate <COLLECTOR NAME>' link near the bottom right of the specimen window - which leads to any available specimens collected around the same time.

regards,

Tom
