The likely site of Tregair Moor is an area by the River Gannel, Newquay in St Newlyn East parish boundary where Carex acutiformis was collected in 1907 and refound in 1998 by Hazel Meredith and Ian Bennallick and confirmed by R J Murphy, the then BSBI recorder for VC2 East Cornwall.
