N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

I think the site name and v.c. is a bit of a stretch. Can we mark a record unconfirmed?

Hi Alex,

currently there isn't a defined way to mark a record as suspect.

A possible way to do this currently (until there's a better solution) would be to add an 'unconfirmed' tag to the specimen.

To do this click the tag icon (top right of the specimen), to add a tag field. I've done that for this specimen. This is only really a temporary fix.

regards,

Tom.

I think this could be Coalbrookdale. Will have to wait and see if Hayes or Bloxam recorded in that site that year.

I think Colchester often appears that way on those labels

Chris Liffen has just sent me a note showing that Hayes lived in Coalbrookdale in 1842. I reckon if you lived there and collected a lot of stuff, you'd be quite likely to abbreviate the site name on the labels after a while...

ex herb Dr Robert Large Baker and probably collected by him at COLCHESTER, Essex - see http://www.meiosis.org.uk/botanists/baker-dr-robert-large-1824-1885/

The "Hayes or Bloxham" sticker is a red herring.
