As you may have noticed, I've just uploaded a set of specimens from Florida State University's Robert K. Godfrey Herbarium.
This trial run is preliminary work for what will hopefully become a wider international collaboration of online transcription projects. I'd like to see how well herb@home works with a substantial set of specimens from beyond the UK and also, to some extent, stress-test the website in preparation for future events.
Although this work with Florida specimens is only planned to be a one-off trial it will collect lots of good specimen records - all of which will be passed back to FSU.
Herb@home's about to embark on the final stages of a major refresh, to update the website and the underlying database.
If you're a new visitor here then welcome and please keep checking back because herb@home has exciting plans for substantial improvements and expansion over the next few months.
best wishes,
