N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

Could this be a Giseke specimen?

RBG Edinburgh has (amongst others) a 1765 specimen of Convolvulus tricolor where the collector is given as P.D. (Paul Dietrich) Giseke with a very similar label, but no indication of why this collector was selected.

Some of his other RGBE specimens are very clearly marked 'HERB P D GISEKE' (e.g.)

Yes, I think that when Giseke material was labelled as such, a few were initially missed and keep turning up - quite likely because this one may have been misfiled in the British folder when it should have been in Europe. Glad to hear about the other example. I'll edit it to say collector = Giseke.
