N.B. reporting of the edit history is currently fairly unclear and misleading. Most edits made to specimens appear as a pair of 'add' and 'delete' entries, which may not be together in the list. There are also often 'minor' edits, which are made automatically (rather than due to user activity), for example to merge synonym names.

SBE suggests this specimen is likely to be P. gramineus which is still in quantity at Dowrog Common. NMW has a Ted Lousley P. gramineus specimen from 1935. Looking at the SLBI label it seems praelongus is queried and is in pencil whilst the rest of the label is in ink. The specimen has surface leaves begining to develop and the peduncles are very robust.

Hi Stephen,

Thank you for your comments about this specimen.

To make name changes really clear (so that a casual observer of the record understands why the assigned name does match the sheet label), it can be better to include you name and comments as a redetermination of specimen, rather than as a general comment on the specimen. (I've edited this sheet to reflect your comment.)

best wishes,

Tom
